Leo is totally infatuated with Crocs. It started very innocently where he was trying to stuff his feet in his yellow infant Crocs. Then, he started wearing the infant Crocs around, they were literally hanging off his toes they were so small on him. He became very posessive of those shoes. So, today, we took him to the Croc store to get a new pair. As soon as we entered the store, he started behaving very strangely -- he started crying and screaming hysterically. I think he was like super excited. Then, we really stressed him out by taking Crocs on and off of his feet - as you can imagine, he did not want to take them off and would throw a fit when we would. We picked some out, he wore them out of the store and he hasn't taken them off since. Even at nap time -- Josie, our nanny, took them off and he screamed bloody murder, so she put them back on and he went to sleep in them. I wonder what will happen at bedtime tonight?

It's unbelievable Lulu looks so beautiful in the photo below on her recital. We are day 5 of a super high fever -- 2:30am, the motrin has worn off, and her 104.3 fever is back. Not exactly my favorite Mother's Day -- when she's better, I will be ready to celebrate. Off to the doctor tomorrow.

Lulu is on Day 4 of a high fever (which is spreading around her classroom) but she managed to perform beautifully in her ballet recital this morning. She even managed to make it to a Mother's Day brunch. But, the motrin has worn off and the fever is back with a vengence. Way to hang in there, Lulu!!

Leo has started calling his baby "Amy" now. That would be our 3rd Amy (doll) in the house.

Here is Leo surrounded by his very favorite things. He has recently taken on the role of Daddy to "Baby". He's very sweet too. He feeds Baby toast and shares his milk and cuddles it (not sure of it's gender). And for some reason, out of all the babies we have in this house, he chose this one....

Not sure I mentioned this but Nessie and Lulu are sleeping in a bunk bed now. The transition went pretty smoothly - at bedtime, Nessie usually stays in bed. Nap time, however, is a different story.
All week, Nessie has refused to nap. She's exhausted but will not relax herself enough to sleep. As the afternoon goes on, she becomes more and more of a nightmere - she screeches, she picks fights with the other kids, she doesn't eat her dinner, she acts drunk almost. Today, we reached a new low at nap time.
I put her down for an early nap (like usual) since she has swim class in the late afternoon. I read her two books. I tucked her in and it was quiet for almost 1.5 hours. When I entered her room to wake her up for swimming, she was covered in dark-colored acrylic paint (which she stole from me and hid), her bed, sheets and pillow was covered in paint, she had ripped up a book and it was covered. I almost couldn't believe my eyes. I threw her in the bathtub, and started questioning her. I just wanted her to admit that she was supposed to be sleeping. Even after pouring several rounds of very cold water on her (social services, please understand why this needed to be done), she still wouldn't say that she was supposed to be sleeping.

Another morning in my chaotic household --
I jump out of bed this AM when I hear Lulu calling out that Nessie just cut out a chunk of her own hair. And yes, sure enough, we have a handful of Nessie's hair sitting on our bedroom dresser right now. Then, not long after, Leo is playing in a little box with our keys etc, and he is chewing gum. Like, chomping away and he would not give it up. I had to chase him down, then negotiate with M&M's.

Looks like the Easter Bunny brought summer dresses, sandals and butterfly nets. And of course, lots of candy!!
