Lulu's second day of preschool went really well. I dropped her off, settled her in her classroom and left within 15 minutes. Then, I hopped on a bus for home, paced around our apartment wondering what to do with myself (since Nessie was with Caroline, her babysitter), worried about Lulu, went to lunch, came home and paced around the apartment a little more. When I picked a very smiley Lulu up at 4:30, one of the first things she said to me was, "I didn't even need to look at the little card in my backpack" -- she's talking about a little photo and message I wrote to her that she can peek at if she misses me at school. What a relief because this week has been one emotional rollarcoaster for Mama.
