To follow up on the swimming lessons -- Lulu came out of the pool at the end of the lesson very happy with a big smile but it took her a while to get to that point. She looked scared about 70% of the time. Ugh, it's a drop-off class but Lulu would not let me leave, so me and another neurotic mom were the only 2 moms staying. That didn't bother me, but it did bother me that the teacher is so militant about the parents leaving the class. We're stuck in this class until January. We did get a pool membership to the JCC where her lessons are held, so I'll just make an effort to take her often to practice.
In other news, Lulu's choosing of her outfits these days have been over-the-top. The other day, we were walking down Colombus and Lulu (looking as disheveled as always) was dressed in a crazy little outfit (a dress with a pink polka dot skirt under it) with wild hair, golden sandals (that are a size too small), orange painted nails (done by herself) and a pinwheel and a woman came out of Starbucks and told us she was a childrens book author and thought Lulu was the perfect example of a new character she was creating. She took Lulu's photo to help her illustrator understand the character better. The character sounded a little like "Eloise" to me!
